‘My Everything, my eternity…’
The stars were shining bright as you and Lay walked around the almost empty park. He pulled you to a park bench and sat you down next to him.
“I need to tell you something.” He said quickly.
“Okay, go.” You snapped back in a happy voice.
‘The truth is that I’m not from here….’ You looked at him confused and dazed.
“Huh?” Escaped out of your mouth without you knowing.
“To be honest, I might sound crazy but I’m from a plant called EXO. There are 12 of us but we were separated to protect us against the evil forces in the universe.” He mumbled out slowly so you could barely catch it. You tried to add it up in your head but nothing was connecting together. You sat there as he played with your left hand with the shining ring on your ring finger. “This ring you wear with the symbol on it shows the power I control. I control life.” Snapping out of your thoughts, you looked at the ring on your finger then to his face.
“Something’s wrong. You wouldn’t be telling me this unless something is wrong.” You say softly while caressing his soft cheek. He smiled a bit before looking down.
“I always knew you were a smart one.” He whispered softly so only you could hear before looking back up right into your eyes. “There calling me, well actually all of us back.” You titled your head to the side.
“Well go and come back.” You said not seeing the whole program.
“That’s the problem. Once we leave, we can’t come back.” Your eyes widened.
“What?” You frantically exclaimed before throwing your arms around him. “I don’t want you to leave.” He slowly wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you into his lap with your back facing his chest.
“I knew this was going to happen. The only thing was I didn’t know how soon it was going to be.”
“Zhang Yi Xing, are you telling me that you already knew you were going back some time?” You asked turning your head to see him. He nodded sadly before squeezing you tighter. “Is there no way for us to keep in contact?” He looked at you if you were an idiot. You saw this and turned your head back to face the front. “I’ll shut up now.”
“You better cause its time for me to talk again.” He said before inter locking you hands with his. “When I came to this blue planet, the first thing I wanted to do was to get off it. I was separated from my brothers and I was completely lost with no hope of surviving until you came into my life.” He took a breath before continuing with his heart felt speech. What you didn’t notice was that Lay was slowly disappearing and he knew that it was time. “You taught me feeling I could have never learnt with anyone else. You became the life I needed to keep me alive.” All you could do was smile at his sweet words then you realized what was happening.
“Lay! You’re disappearing!” You quickly got off him and looked down at where he sat. He was slowly but surely fading away.
“Listen to me ________-ah. This is our goodbye scene like in the dramas.” You tried to grab onto his hands as the tears fell like rain but you couldn’t hold on to them.
“No….” You mumbled out from under the tears.
“You’re the reason why I didn’t give ______-ah. You’re my everything, my eternity. Please never forget that. ” The moment was drawing near the only thing you could see left of him was his face and hands. The hands that played the soft piano as you rested your head on his shoulder. The face you woke up to for the pass year and a half. Now all you could see was his face. “Wo ai ni ______-ah.” He whispered into the wind. The tears fell harder. You couldn’t believe what happened. ‘He really was from a different place. Come back Lay…’ You thought as you sunk to your knees and looked up at the night sky.
